BOOK REVIEW....REPETITION by Doris E Cohen

This is a book i feel personally everyone should have on their shelves or have read it at least once. I have sold many copies of this and have had very positive feed back on how it has helped not only those that have bought it but from their friends who have borrowed it.
It is about past lives, life and rebirth and i would like to mention that after reading this book it made me look at things in my life that were a repetitive family trait that was and still is being handed down to each generation especially the women. It is to do with the abandonment issues that my mother has which stems from her father passing at an early age and my mum being only nine years of age. She became the carer of the family as my nan had five children to support and not much money like a lot of people in those days. When my dad passed she was more alone than ever before, but my sister picked up where my mother left off in the way she bought her children and grandchildren up. long story and one day i will go into it more detail. After reading this book i wondered how i was going to approach the subject with my mum and even as i write this it brings up anxiety in my chest. How deep do our issues go we will never know and we all have them. We think of abandonment only from the loss of loved ones or someone close to us but it goes a lot deeper than that as through this book we learn of our abandonment issues through school, our friends, our workplace, relationships, the medical profession
Please read on as this next bit is from the book
All of us have a Gog given gift of free choice, although we may be unaware of it at times. Only when we acknowledge and take full responsibility for the choices we have made in our current and past lives can we begin to change our stories and end the suffering we have been causing ourselves.
Remembering the events of our past lives provide a rich and fascinating tapestry of our journey, resulting in the humbling and uplifting realisation that our souls are on a grand adventure. In owning our stories, can we move from seeing ourselves as victims of life to empowering ourselves as co-creators of our destiny.
