Bali Retreat

Our inaugural Bali Retreat was held between the eight and seventeenth of march 2013 in Candi Dasa at the Bayshore Villas the hotel was beautiful and of course tropical. everyone arrived on the Saturday and got settled in and enjoyed a lovely welcome meal. and on sunday we all went on tour up to kintamani area and had a beautiful Balinese meal and the. On to the base of the volcano where we i merged ourselves in the healing waters of the hot springs. Then to Ubud and then on to the night markets where I bought some really lovely shoes cause in case you did not know I am a bit of a shoe freak. Spending time together bought us all together with lots of laughter. For many this was the first time to this lovely island so much excitement for some. Monday was the first work shop with Dianne West who was teaching the benefits of EFT tapping and although I have done this before it was good to listen again to the benefits tapping makes to ones life. It was also a very emotional journey for one young lass who asked to resolve emotional issues that she was having difficulties working through from why she had a miscarriage early in her pregnancy last year. Di guided her though her fears and she was able to connect with this child and release the emotions that she was holding on to. This also helped others who had lost babies whether recently or from years ago as we never forget our experiences no matter what. Also Vita whom I took to Bali to present channeling had the tapping to overcome her fears of speaking in public. The afternoon was free for those who wished to have a much welcome massage or just relax in the pool. The pool was a very important instrument for many as they shared there laughter and their heartaches as life is never perfect for any of us. Tuesday was Nephyi day which is a very important day for Balinese as all head home to their villages and every thing is closed and no one is allowed on the streets and there was to be no power in the evening. Very romantic if inclined. Therefore a very quiet respectful day. Wednesday was a free day so myself and some others headed into KUTA to enjoy some shopping therapy but some one forgot to tell us that shops were not opened due to the fact that everyone still travelling back from villages. KUTA is two hours from where we were staying. The people of Bali make beautiful large paper mâché statues and I will post some on the blog amazing. This was a day that Margaret Parrot did her workshop on the seven kingdoms and how it relates to all that is in our world and the spiritual and was interesting as I had just finished studying that in my metaphysics degree so reinforced something for me once again. Wednesday was a free day for those wanting to do tours or relax by the pool I took mediation every morning and was great to see at least fifteen attend each day for the experience as some had not participated in meditation before or others just never had time in the day so that worked in very well and made sure that the meditations were chosen for right place and time. Thursday was the day I did colour therapy which incorporated chakras, auras, clothes we wear to the colour we paint our homes and why and how these colours interacted with what is happening in ones life. There were exercises to do within the workshop to help them to do readings, to creat a better environment etc. Once this was complete some of us took off back to Ubud to see where they made the ceremonial gongs and then to buy a new healing bowls for Kimmie and I bought a hang drum (not an original of course) but will do till I can afford the real thing. Beautiful meal to finish the day and then off home Friday was a free day to finish shopping or relaxing in the pool or having the four hour massage . For four evenings Vita channeled her guides and this was a wonderful opportunity for those that had never experienced this and to of course to ask questions of those that came through and a new person came through just for a chat so we were privileged once again. Vita, Margaret offered our services for readings if any one needed or wanted one so that kept them busy in their free time. This workshop changed many lives in a short period of time as many had come looking for answers to what was happening in their lives and being able to help one another through relaxing allowed them to open up and share their experiences allowing lots of healing to take place. One lady in particular shared with the group that just before she came to the retreat she had considered taking her life as things were not going well with family etc, she had rung a counselling service and had spoken to them was still very much not in the right place. Coming on the retreat had shown her that life is worth living and she accepted a lot of the tools that were shared throughout the workshops. She she came to Bali she was quiet, looking hard on the exterior and unsure of herself, when the time came to depart she was smiling, looking softer and had actually started loving herself and that in itself was most rewarding To the twenty five people who share this week with thank you for all you shared with me and for being who you are Many blessings to you all and may you continue to walk your path .
