BALI RETREAT 2014

Bali retreat 2014 How great was it to spend ten days in Beautiful Bali with people eager to learn how we communicate with spirit and to learn about ourselves and to enhance our lives People change without really noticing or knowing why sometimes and it is a privilge to be a part of the change One lady came to the retreat to relax !! and was not really smiling and did not seem very happy with in her self as like lots of us we have stuff happening in our lives that we either hang on to or don’t like to share with others. She had not done lots of work on the pyschic level and was a bit shy in coming forth with messages but by the end of the workshop was confident to give off what she was receiving even if it was only a few spoken words. By the end of the week she had made many friends and was very tearful when it came time to leave and return to Perth Every one had arrived by the Saturday and we went on a day tour which included the following Bat Temple this was a really lovely experience as there was a ceremony happening at the time. Goa Lawah is one of Bali’s most important temples. It features a complex built around a cave opening that is inhabited by hordes of bats, and its name translates to 'Bat Cave’. This temple was established in the 11th century by Mpu Kuturan, one of early priests who laid the foundations of Hinduism on the island. Goa Lawah is located in the village of Pesinggahan, Dawan district, bordering the Klungkung and Karangasem regencies near Candi Dasa. From there we went to the Water Palace and I have to say I found this breath taking The waterpalace of Tirtagangga was built in 1948 by Raja Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem, This palace has been shaped in the form of a beautiful water garden and it is located near a natural spring. This spring wells up under a hugh banyan tree which stands at the foot of a hill. At the top of this hill stands a village temple. The scenery of the area is fantastic with great views and the climate is relatively cool. These facts, together with the religious rites of the spring, inspired the Raja to build himself a private country house nearby this spring set amidst a beautiful recreational garden. He called it Tirtagangga - derived from the words 'Tirta' (blessed water) and 'Gangga' (from 'Ganges', the holy river in India). The water gardens show a unique mix of Balinese and Chinese architecture. The grounds of the water garden (ca 1.2 ha.) consists of three separate complexes each with ponds and many sculptures. The complex on the lowest level has two large ponds and a water tower. And then we were off to the chocolate factory to see what delights we could be tempted with. You really have to see this place to appreciate its true beauty and clear water For those who like their sweets with a side of social consciousness, Bali’s Big Tree Farms—a large organic agricultural collective—has just opened a chocolate factory in a three-story, 2,135-square-meter building constructed from more than 3,000 pieces of bamboo. —The chocolate factory's exterior. Once fully operational, the facility will process locally grown cacao from bean to bar, a rarity in a country where around 95 percent of raw cacao is exported for processing elsewhere. It will also host an events center, education programs, a café (hot chocolate, anyone?), and a shop showcasing goodies produced by the 9,000 or so organic farmers operating under the Big Tree umbrella. Tucked away in the village of Sibangkaja, about 13 kilometers south of Ubud, the new building is a bit off Bali’s beaten track. But with other notable bamboo constructions nearby. And then it was time to head back to Puri Oka for a welcome dinner that was being prepared by the staff there after a great day of getting to know one another Sunday was the beginning of the learning where we gathered together first thing in the morning to share our Yoga lessons with Kawi who is well known in Candi Dasa for the commitment he has to helping others inside and outside the Ashram and just a beautful soul who is commited to what he does. Lessons included developing psychic awareness and the spiritaul development on a personal level. Many tools were used to help people connected to their guides and the oneness of self Monday was learning how to present ourselves to the public and learning responsibility with what we share through the readings we give so much was explained and learnt and also learning chakras and auras Tuesday was time to take abreak and Journey to Ubud to see the sites and do some shopping. Whilst those on the retreat partake in this little adventure it was time for Vita, Megan, Marlene, Robert and myself to head to one of my favourite spots White Sandy Beach to just relax and enjoy the ocean and have a lovely meal at one of the Warungs. Back at the hotel sharing the peoples shopping experiences and the sight seeing was enjoyable to say the least Wednesday back in the classroom and understanding about channeling and doing some written exercises of self expression and learning to connect to the energies around them and an evening of channelling with Vita which never seaces to amaze me and of course those that get to experience it first hand. Thursday learning to be patient and allowing your guide to come through to connect with those in the room and this was a great experience for many and a break through for some who had been wanting to channel for a long time but fear had held them back. Brought tears to one girl as her guide had exited way to fast and needed to repeat the exercises to be able to be in a relaxed state Very interesting watching how everyone works as we are all individuals and unique in our own right. Evening was a time for channelling with Vita and we invited a young Balinese healer named Mountain to experience the channelling and he told us how he felt and what he saw Friday was a day to Pamper yourself and have the nails done or just relax by the pool and finish the last bit of shopping whilst Megan, Aylene and myself went snorkelling at Blue Lagoon about 30 mins by boat from our hotel The fish life was beautiful and colourful but was a bit dissappointed with coral as not as beautiful as other places and of course we have to blame the environment for this as it is a re occurring problem through out our world. How relaxing this time was for me and to cleanse the soul so to speak with water Time for our farewell dinner came around soon enough and everyone looking lovely in the outfits they were wearing and of course the beautiful coloured nails with the flowers and as we said our last good byes many tears were shed and lasting friendships made A huge thank you to the lovely Megan who owns the Puri Oka and the staff and to those who made the retreat a memorable event by attending We are now planning the 2015 retreat for those who would like to attend please contact me via email bev.bryant@bigpond.com there are only ten places for this retreat so book early for May 2015 Namaste
