August 5th
This was about meeting and greeting the other three ladies and our instructor Suri and our meeting place was a lovely restaurant called Tutmak in Ubud.
There was Kathy, Leonie, Donna and Janelle, Donna from America and Janelle from Canada
Here we learned about the background on Bali Hinduism and it's relationship to traditional healing.
We then learned about the different healers, traditional Balinese medical literature and the mystic aspects of the practise and when I have my notes updated
We then went to a purification ceremony at the holy temple where we were shown how to place ourselves under each fountain as there were nine of them and we did our asking or prayers what ever you like to interpret it and then doused ourselves under the fountains. A great experience in itself. It was then off to another section of the temple to experience the prayer ritual and after this we were then finished our course and back to Candi Dasa and I must say how relaxed and light we all felt after this episode. This experience allowed us to become relaxed in each others company as we shared our stories.
Holy Water is an agent of the POWER OF A GOD, a container of mysterious force. It can cleanse spiritual impurities, fend of evil forces and render the recipient immune to the attacks of negative or demonic influence. In Bali holy water is not a symbol or somthing abstract-it is a Sekala containter of a niskala power, and as such is sacred and holy in and of itself. The water strengthens and purifies everything it touches. Holy Water accompanies every act of Hindu Balines worship from indivdual devotionsat a household shrine to island wide ceromonies
August 6th
Today was learning the Four Spiritual Siblings, the mystical elements that accompany us through out our lives and their role in healing.When a Balinese child is born the family pays an enormous amount of attention to the placenta. Immediately upon birth, they rush it to the family home, wash it in clean water spiced with a little tumeric, wrap it in a clean whit cloth and tie the whole together with a blacks string made from sugar palm fibre. It isthen placed carefully placed in a specially prepared coconut with a symbol in the top half and the bottom half and then there are special ceramony takes place depending on if it is a boy or a girl. There are three other important parts to the siblings and they are the amniotic fluid, blood and the vernix caseosa which is a kind of natural yellow salve that coats the newborn
Suri found us a bit different from others that had done this course as he stated we were advanced in our learning and we were always asking questions. We learnt about the quintessential of the Cardinal directions, common thread between healer and patient and although we came from healing backgrounds it only enhanced our healing knowledge. Also about returning to the mother, the womb, mother earth.
I wish I could write all of what we learned in the course but then I feel that if you wanted to know more then it is up to you as an individual to search for your experiences as we all see and do things differently
After lunch we then headed further afield to go and see a well respected healer who was 83 yrs of age and was very well respected for how he helped many, many people who would come to see him every day
Unfortunately when we arrived there at his home and temple we found that he had been taken to hospital as he had collapsed and was as we found out later came home a few days later. Of course this was very disappointed but these things happen for a reason
It was decided that we would finish early for the day as Suri was very concerned for his friends health and needed to be at his bedside as this man was Suris mentor
This allowed us to head back to Candi Dasa early for Kathy and I as we traveled three hours each day to attend the classes and of course we did not have our driver Wayan's phone number so we did the mental telepathy message for him to come to the cafe early
Kathy and i had a walk around Ubud for about 20 mins and headed back to Tukmak and low and behold there was Wayan waiting for us so the power of thought was proven for us and cheaper than a phone call
August 7th
Back to Ubud and although it was a long drive it allowed Kathy and i to catch up with what was happening in our lives and of course talk about the course and how we felt
Today was a lot of walking as we went to the markets to talk about the foods with medicinal properties which is always very interesting and then we embarked on a herb walk through neighbouring areas which lasted approx three hours. It was very knowledgeable as everything or most things were right there growing on the hillsides or near the water and so easily accesable. We then went to a healer who specialised in Bones and Muscles and this was amazing but very painful and we all found ourselves in tears as we took our turn to have a treatment with him (bit like going to a chiropractor) but more painful. Leonie and Donna had a treatment which bought the blood to the surface and to help with their back problems and Donna had more work on her body. Can only speak for myself as i had my feet, hands,knees, arms and neck done and i can tell you this was very, very painful as i have arthritis in all these parts. What I can say is that my body felt better than it had in a long long time and as they say no gain without pain. Would i do it again, the answer is yes and to have it done regularly would be very beneficial. Whilst there he was also working on other Balinese who had broken bones etc. this was very interesting to see and very special for us to be allowed to share the way of the Balian Healer. When stricken by misfortunes and ills, the Balinese see a special kind of doctor. A balian is often defined as a "traditional healer" or witch doctor. Blians very often do practice healing, but they do a great many other things as well. A better term would be "sharman". The point is that balians are not all healers, but spiritualism plays an important role in the future of all of them. One common reason for a consultation is to determine the identity of the spirit that has been born into the body of a newly arrive baby as they believe in reincarnation
August 8th
This was a trip to Suri's home to learn Tantra and Mudras and this was really good as i had studied this at Uni along with misconceptions and how it all involves the chakras as well. We were taught how to do the mudras for when we do ceremony or beginning of healings which i will now incorporate into my healing so instead of symbols for reiki it is hand movements including the chakras
We also went and spend time with a well-known trance channel (female) a very lovely lady who many Balinese go to when they need advice from spirit about what is happening in their lives and this lady who is connect to her guides, higher connection will speak and with the messages that are channelled through help those that have come to her. She attended to each of us and gave us a very short message each through an interpreter
She is no different from you or I just blessed with an amazing gift to help others. It was very interesting and as we said to Suryia we do the same thing at home with in our group although we don’t sit for hours to connect with our guides to bring forth information like this channel so he found that very interesting and i have offered for him to come along to a channelling evening next time we meet up in Bali and he has said he would love to
These people are there to help many and i must say they come non-stop to seek help and guidance in many forms
We also went to east Bali near Candi Dasa to visit another esteemed healer who once again was very different to watch work. He was in his eighty and lived in a very old and very basic village. He would hold your wrist and give you an interpretation of your spirituality. I was normal he said and took that as being balanced physically and spiritually. The other girls he said had small things wrong with them but nothing serious and he then took a pinch of salt and some water from a sealed bottle and placed them in a drinking bowl and with this has begun to channel over the bowl
This was done to each person separately using a new bottle of water with each person, they were then asked to drink the water and he has channelled over the rest of the water bottle and each person had to drink this water over the coming week and when asked each one had said that their issue or problem was either "cured" or they felt better. Fascinating and then he explained how he became a healer by attending the many temples in Bali and spending time there until spirit told him it was time to go home and begin his work
Our time came to an end all too soon for me and wished i could have had a few more days with this wonderful man with so much knowledge so i have decided to go back in about 18 months and do this course again
Why would i do this, it made me feel so much better within myself and i felt great changes in my energy and clarity within my mind and this is what i had hoped to achieve as when i was to return to Australia i had a new challenge waiting for .....
I knew before i left for Bali that there was a possibility that i had bowel cancer and needed to prepare for this
Whilst in Bali i had asked spirit to give me a definite sign which they did as i had been taking medication for quite a period off and on for a few years and one of the side effects was that it made your bowel bleed so i needed confirmation
I was booked into hospital on my return for tests and these test showed i had a tumour so there for surgery was required, but that morning i was due to go and have the tests done i was in the shower and i asked spirit what the results would be and was told i had cancer but i would not require chemotherapy
I was booked the following week for surgery and have to say it was not pleasant and was in a lot of pain afterwards as i had a complication which required more surgery than was expected. In the day of discharge my doctor informed me that i had lost half of my bowel and that the tumour had been removed and would require no chemo and chances of the cancer returning were very very slim
During my stay in hospital i had lots of visits from some wonderful people who were continuing to send me healing and i was told by a lady i have been talking to have the colour orange around me as it is great for healing which i did
A friend of mine who is very sceptical of what i do which is why spirit chose him told me after i came home that whilst he was talking to me in the hospital room he could see my whole being covered in the colour orange !!
I came home five days after and had a friend staying with me and my husband and he is the most amazing cook and medium so he cooked for me and looked after me for four days as my husband was working. he always makes me feel special.
He also bought with him a psychic artist Marie Klemments from South Australia as they did an evening on the Friday and i had booked her for many clients for the days she spent with me and Peter Hall
Marie did a reading and drawing for me when i was feeling up to it and have to say i was a very lucky person indeed as she drew Gordon Higginson who was renowned as trance medium and also Harry Edwards who i always admired for his healing abilities
I feel that my life is blessed from all that i do and learn. Although i have to learn what my likes and dislikes now it will not be a problem considering my husband had his whole bowel removed three years ago
I have now turned a corner with my healing and am on the mend but feel this would not have been as quick if it had not been for all the healing i have been receiving both distant and physical and of course going on the crystal bed and sound healing
I feel after five weeks i am ready to return to work with renewed energy and looking forward to moving in new directions but i also want to say for me going to Bali prepared me mentally Physically and spiritually for this path that i chose to take
What surprised me most of all when people found out i had cancer what were the symptoms and some people who were saying they were bleeding put it down to hemaroids and said they would not go and have the tests as they preferred not to know
At the moment our television stations are showing ads that tell you all the types of cancer and the symptoms so when i listen to these people shows me that they are not taking notice of the ads or their own bodies
